- Body Construction: A three-ply “sandwich” body featuring an Alder/Maple/Alder construction. The hard maple center increases body stiffness to accentuate the midrange, while the alder provides a warm, solid foundation.
- Neck Design: A 5-piece Maple and Mahogany bolt-on neck. It utilizes a 6-bolt Miter Neck Joint, where two diagonal screws pull the neck deeper into the pocket for superior vibration transfer and stability.
- Pickups: Equipped with YGD Custom V7 Alnico V pickups in a P/J configuration.
- Neck: VSP7n split single-coil for thick, classic bass tones.
- Bridge: VSC7b single-coil for more aggressive “growl” and definition.
- Hardware: Features a Vintage Plus Bridge that allows for 45-degree diagonal body-through stringing, which reduces string stress compared to traditional vertical methods.
- Special Treatment: Every instrument undergoes Initial Response Acceleration (I.R.A.) treatment. This vibration process releases internal stresses in the wood and finish, giving the bass a “played-in” feel and improved resonance from day one.
